Hello,

I am Cheryl Siciliano. I am the writer of this blog. If you have read my profile, You will see that this blog started in 2011. I am here to tell you up front I have not even taken the 1st step to post a blog. I have been so afraid to make a mistake. I have no idea even how to blog. I have been following so many blogs over the past 5 or so years. There was even a time I didn't know what the word
blog meant. So everything is new at one time or another.

The other day while reading a post from one of my favorite bloggers- Melody from "MY Passion For Decor" ( I'm pretty sure here is where you would insert a link to that post) Anyway something she said struck a chord with me..It was something about fear and not feeling good enough. I realized fear is the thing that is keeping me from showing you and telling you all about my passion for finding cools things and making them cooler, painting, woodwork, the hunt for a good find. Melody encouraged me to go for it! So being the people pleaser that I am...being the person that accepts a good challenge...No that's not it.... I'm scared people. Scared you won't like what I have to say. ( Remember this is an intro so hopefully it's all pictures...oh my I have to get a camera..from here on in.) O.k. so My beautiful Sister Barbara from Surfside Serenity,  came to visit and tried to get this started for me. With her help getting the blog started, I made my first promise to get going... Melody was a reminder of that promise.

So, I will just begin by telling you what to expect. I will post pictures of DIY projects. curbside finds. trash to treasure.recipes, and a sprinkling of my
crazy life. I might even get to a point of doing a tutorial....

So hang in there with me. I will start the first post with a new project and fill in here and there with some from the past that I dreamed about posting.

I have been lucky to have attended "The Haven Conference" where I have met and continue to follow the kindest group of people I know. Everyone is so supportive of each other. I don't understand my intimidation. You just never know when Someone will reach out and say the right thing to give you that boost of confidence. Thank you Melody Smith and Barbara.  I'm giving it my best shot!

Please feel free to offer advise or ideas. I need all the help I can get. I am not really a tech savvy person so there will be a HUGE learning curve.

I am in the process of choosing a small cocktail table for my Daughter. She has a small Cape home and needs to have something that she can move around easily. I have a Mahogany oval table on a spiral base that I will be making pretty for her. I will be painting it in my favorite Annie Sloan paint. It is in rough condition so paint is appropriate.

Stay tuned for the 1st post " The Little Table No One Wanted"
